- Everywhere – Is there really a place you shouldn’t pray?
I Timothy 2:8 “I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.”
-We should never be afraid to pray as we drive, as we walk the aisles of a store, or on break at work.
- In the closet– Sometimes our prayer must be done in a quiet place.
Matthew 6:5,6 “And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.”
-We should have a private place where we meet God. A place with no distractions where we can do personal business with our Heavenly Father and LORD.
- In the Temple (church) – God’s house should be a house of prayer
Luke 18:10 “Two men went up into the temple to pray…”
I Kings 8:22-53 Solomon prays before the great congregation
-The church house is a wonderful place for God’s people to pray together or at an altar.
Whatever the location may be for your prayer time it should always be by faith, knowing He may not always answer on our time table. I am so grateful for the power of privilege of prayer. -Bro Phil
